Learnin ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.

Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).

Learning Profile: We collect information you provide during onboarding — your profession, learning goals, and preferences. This is used solely to personalize your learning experience.

Usage Data: We collect data about your learning activity — courses completed, quiz answers, and progress. This helps us improve your experience and track your achievements.

We do NOT collect: Location data, contacts, photos, health data, financial information, or any data unrelated to your learning experience.

How We Use Your Information

• Generate personalized courses and lessons tailored to your role and goals
• Curate YouTube and podcast recommendations relevant to your learning path
• Track your progress, streaks, and achievements
• Send learning reminders (only if you opt in to notifications)
• Improve our AI content generation

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to provide Learnin:

• Supabase — authentication and database (your data is stored securely in their SOC 2 compliant infrastructure)
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — generates personalized lesson content (your learning profile is sent to generate content but is not stored by Anthropic)
• YouTube Data API — finds educational videos (we don't share your personal data with YouTube)

Data Security

Your data is protected with:

• Row-Level Security on all database tables (you can only access your own data)
• Encrypted authentication tokens (SecureStore on iOS, encrypted storage on web)
• HTTPS for all data in transit
• Server-side input sanitization to prevent injection attacks

Data Retention & Account Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account directly from the app at any time:

1. Open Learnin → go to the Profile tab
2. Scroll to the "Danger Zone" section at the bottom
3. Tap Delete Account, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete Forever

Deletion is immediate and permanent. All personal data — profile, courses, progress, achievements, and any subscription — is wiped from our systems. Email donovankdon@gmail.com if you have trouble deleting your account.

AI-Generated Content

Learnin courses, lessons, and quizzes are generated by AI (Anthropic's Claude). AI can make mistakes or produce inaccurate information, especially in specialized or rapidly-changing fields. We recommend verifying critical information from authoritative sources. If you encounter content you believe is inappropriate, harmful, or incorrect, use the Report option inside any lesson or email us at donovankdon@gmail.com. We review reports and remove flagged content.

Children's Privacy

Learnin is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your learning data
• Opt out of notifications at any time

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes via email or in-app notification.
